blue eyes, not black

Just to clear up some confusion: I am not the poor bloke with a black eye in one of this site’s former featured photos. That is my friend Glen. I was the photographer.

Several readers have asked, “What the hell is going on in that photo?” I told Glen he can use this forum to inform. So let’s see if he does.

In the meantime, a caption for the photo was submitted by none other than Confucius himself — or is it herself in this case? Whatever, here it is:

So my Chinese teacher wrote this pick-up line on the back of a candy wrapper and I ended up telling this chick at a bar where to insert a firecracker …

I really wish I could say that I fell down some stairs in a drunken kungfu street brawl, or, that I just got done playing a game of rugby with fellow expatriates….but……this is really a prank I did for the lovely folks at Mars Co., Australia….I am claiming a “one king-sized bar” in compensation for an alleged “incident” where I got beat by the end of a broom by an angry Chinese vendor when I tried to claim my free bar (part of the Mars bar promotion) that I purchased from him!
