why is this funny to you? Comfort women is the term used by Japanese soldiers in ww2 for Chinese and Korean women forced to 'comfort' them, that is to be prostitutes for them. This is not Chinglish, but an appropriate translation which indicates how cavalierly these women's lives were treated.

Yea, let me translate what Bai is saying.
There were many women from Korea and China forced to be so-called "comfort women". Their primary duty was to "comfort" the Japanese soliders, or another word, Japanese soliders rape them, if the women don't conform, they get killed.

Agree with Bai Tianwen on this. Making a film about the subject of Comfort Women is bade enough. Well, we have to keep in mind that most of the world doesn't know or care what happened during the respective occupations of China and Korea. Disturbing subject, why not make a comedy film called Arbeite Macht Frei?
